Back to the Future was a three-year strategic initiative aimed at equipping Entergy’s utility division to meet the challenges of the future, such as changing customer expectations, advancements in technology and aging workforce issues. The campaign was inspired by the movie and highlighted a six-point plan to drive performance improvement across the organization. Through Back to the Future, more than 1 million customers began managing their accounts online, viewing outages on the Web and using improved calculators to manage energy usage, while utility employees achieved significant reductions in mileage and travel costs.
